security-alarm-systems

These days security alarm systems are very common in stores and also used in private homes. Ranging from do-it-yourself packages to sophisticated security networks, various security products are available to provide safety and peace of mind to home and business owners. Compared to their counterparts in European or US markets, security alarm systems, which are made in China, have equivalent functions but are sold at lower prices. They are perfect for security system resellers who can earn a high resale margin from them.

In general, security agencies and alarm companies offer free security equipment and installation service but charge relatively high fees for an alarm monitoring service. Normally, the prices for China-made security alarm systems are much cheaper than the top European and American brands.

Driven by high resale margins, many distributors purchase security alarm systems from suppliers on DHgate for resale. Resale margins generally range from 80% to 200% in countries such as US, UK and Germany. In the rest of Northern Europe and France, resale margins are even higher, usually from 200% to 500%, and can even reach 800%. As for accessories of alarm products on DHgate, the resale margin remains 100% to 800%, normally around 500%.

Unlike security alarm systems for business use, which include complicated networks and require professional installation, home security alarm systems are usually wireless DIY alarm products that are very user friendly. Thus, they are perfect for online sale and are no doubt a great choice for online retailers.

high-heel-shoes-posture.jpg

While some women declare that they will never sacrifice comfort for style, many more find the charm of high heels irresistible.

How crazy that our world is full of women walking around in high heel shoes that so obviously are causing their pain with every step! Probably the justification for this is the “the enhanced look”, and how this “look” makes the wearer feel. A pair of high heel shoes definitely accentuates the leg and changes the posture of a woman, so far as to give a woman more “stature” in a man’s world.

“When I throw on some stockings and my high heels I feel more confident.” said a woman who is straight out with her swelling collection of high heels, which is growing unmanageable. “It might have something to do with the height, but more often than not when I pair them with a matching bag…high heels just make me feel more ‘put together’. It has nothing to do with anyone else. It has little to do with reason or logic. I love them with the red hot fire of a thousand suns.”

Since high heel shoes provide a more elegant and statuesque look and go great with business suits, they have become a must for most office ladies. Many of them who cannot bear tall heels strike a happy medium by wearing shorter ones, like three and a half inches or shorter. Compared with flats and over-high heels, moderate heeled shoes create a more professional and graceful look.

Reggae Chiho Suzuki

The Japanese have been making reggae almost as long as Jamaicans have been exporting it. This phenomenon could have started as early as the mid-’70s, when the film “The Harder They Come” grafted the crime drama to Kingston’s reggae scene and became an international cult classic. Or, more likely, it began sometime around 1979, when Bob Marley landed for the first time in the Land of the Rising Sun. Since then, the reggae scene in Japan has cycled through several styles and sub-subcultures, but only in recent years has one crucial aspect of its identity fully emerged: Finally, Japanese reggae stars are singing in Japanese.

Yes, the performers still punctuate their lyrics with Jamaican patois and channel dancehall reggae’s tinny, digital riddims. And Kingston remains a crucial pilgrimage destination. But in Japan, whose appetite for foreign forms and fashions is insatiable, Japanese reggae has passed the point where critics — like the author of a 2002 Vibe article who described Japanese dancehall enthusiasts as wannabes — can dismiss it as another cultural curiosity. “Japanese dancehall is becoming more and more Japanese,” says Marvin D. Sterling, an Indiana University anthropologist whose book “Babylon East: Perfoming Dancehall, Roots Reggae, and Rastafari in Japan” (Duke University Press, $23.95) came out last month.

As for the music? Much of it — while sonically similar to its Jamaican antecedents — is not bad, says Sterling. “They’re trying to do something different from what’s been given to them,” he says. “I see a lot of creativity in their music.” Sterling mentions bands like U-Dou & Platy in Okinawa, which incorporates the banjolike sanshin into their songs, and singers like Nanjaman, whose social concerns Sterling admires — if not the nationalism and homophobia that he inherited from some Jamaican musicians. Japanese practitioners, he says, often identify with reggae out of a shared sense of “blackness” — some channel anxieties over Western monoculturalism; others are of Korean descent and identify with the nationalist, anticolonial message of the genre. Still others are drawn to reggae’s messianic themes.

These days, the Japanese reggae scene is more rude boy — or even rapper — than rasta. A vibrant roots reggae scene flourished in beginning in the mid-’80s, but ebbed about a decade later. And there’s still a population of spiritual, ganja-smoking disciples of the Rastafari religion; they live mostly in Japan’s rural communities. But the scene is now dominated by dancehall — the pulsing, sweaty variant of the genre that centers on the D.J. clusters known as “sound systems.”

The current dancehall boom aligns with the success of Japanese performers abroad. Yokohama’s Mighty Crown won a 1999 sound system competition — a “sound clash” — in New York; the group now plays to tens of thousands in Jamaica, New York and hubs of the Jamaican diaspora in Canada and Germany. And in 2002, the Japanese reggae dancer Junko Kudo became the first non-Jamaican to win the Dancehall Queen contest in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Now, the largest contingent of international contestants there is Japanese. Kudo’s uniform has become something of a blueprint for Japanese reggae dancers: gold dreads, “Daisy Duke” cutoff shorts, knee-high socks.

Still, at spaces like Buenos and Harlem in Tokyo’s fashion-incubating Shibuya district, Club 24 in Yokohama and Metro in Kyoto, you won’t see too many dreadlocks. Sterling says dancehall fashions are urban but amorphous — kids will incorporate signifiers like the reggae colors of red, green and gold into boutique-bought outfits. Men wear athletic apparel, women aim mostly for tight-fitting but unrevealing, as most forms of reggae contain a conservative streak. “The ideal is anything goes,” says Sterling. “Within reason, anything goes.”

Slowly but surely, Victoria Beckham will conquer the world one Louboutin-heeled-step at a time – today’s news is proof. She’s set to be immortalised as a cartoon character in her latest conquest.

Her acting career may not have started off well, what with her first foray into acting back in Spice World The Movie circa 1997 providing a field day for critics, but they have at least improved in recent years with her Ugly Betty cameo and rumoured role in Glee. This time, however, she won’t be playing herself – Ms. Beckham’s providing the voice for a Queen character in a new SpongeBob SqaurePants episode, called The Clash of Triton.

“I was so thrilled as my children love the show,” Victoria told the Metro of her new role. “When I told the boys I was going to be on the show, they were so excited! I had such a great time recording the voice of Queen Amphitrite. How fun to be a queen for a day!”

We can’t say we’ve ever pictured VB as an underwater sea-queen, but we’re looking forward to seeing the results when the episode airs in the US on Nickelodon, 5th July.

In case you hadn’t noticed, it’s World Cup season, and whilst we can’t quite summons the energy to jump on the sofa and fly our flag, pictures of scantily-clad footballers is something we can happily get on board with – the second instalment of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Armani campaign ads has landed.

We only wish it was David Beckham, but alas, we’re a season or two too late. So once again, we’ll make do with Cristiano Ronaldo as the face of Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans as he shows off his mighty muscular body to the world – and we must admit, we much prefer the new naturale images to last season’s poses.

These campaign shots – shot in Madrid, no less – are part of a global campaign that will span the likes of London, New York, Paris, Rome, Toyko and Los Angeles in July, but if that’s not enough Ronaldo to keep you satisfied, fear not – he’ll be starring in an online commerical come September to showcase the AW10 collections from the Italian brand, too.

We bet a few more of you will be tuning into the Portugal games now, hmm?

Fashion fans will well remember us revealing last year that Mark Fast would be designing a range for Topshop, and finally, the time has come when we can begin to breathe with a little normality once again – his debut designs for the high street store have been unveiled.

The London-based designer has joined Topshop’s impressive roster of cool collaborations with hot young talent – there’s been Meadham Kirchoff, Louise Goldin Jonathan Saunders and Christopher Kane to name but a few in recent seasons – but his collection, more so than many, has been highly-anticipated for months.

And whilst we can’t get our hands on it just yet, we can at least prepare our elbows for the fashion-fuelled frenzy we’ll witness come July when it launches.

There’s just five pieces to the collection – four dresses and a skirt – but fans of the designer won’t be left disappointed. Fast’s signature fitted cob-web knit has been worked across each of the designs with that expert eye we’ve come to covet. We’re already eyeing up the black asymmetric dress, £150 (pictured)…

Prices start at £80 for the pink mini skirt which, considering the prices of his mainline collection can cost in the region of £1,000 upwards, is a comparative steal, we think you’ll agree. The collection will go on sale online and in major Topshop stores on July 7th – we suggest you put that date in your diary, we have a feeling it’ll fly off the shelves.

Gucci New Large Jackie HoboFinally,What do you expect from a company with a tree for its logo, a new Gucci bag that I don’t hate. In fact, I really don’t hate it! I quite like it! Not only that, but it’s something that I’ve been wanting them to try for so long. They took the staid, structured, maybe a bit boring traditional Jackie hobo and made the Gucci New Jackie Large Hobo. It’s a slouchy, modern, younger version of a bag that everyone knows and that really needed an update. They did one thing that I hate, though – they gave it an extra, completely unneccessary,Louis Vuitton Advertisement, annoying strap. The bag can already easily be carried on the shoulder by its natural handle, and the extra strap is only a few inches longer and makes the bag hang oddly when used. Since the original strap is not a separate, mens timberland shoes, attached piece but part of the bag’s structure, it looks like it would be all up in the wearer’s armpit when using the extra strap.

Luckily, this bag has clips that make the shoulder strap detachable, and that’s the first thing that you should do when you get this bag. Other than that, I think they did a great job. I even love the color; a burnt orange is a great, neutral substitute from boring brown,Chic Laid-Back DKNY Antonia Peep-Toe Ankle Boots Shoes. Designer Dress Shoes for Mens & Womens by Coach, Gucci, and Prada, and I’ve been lusting after a similar shade since Balenciaga made a similar one (rouille) in 2006. So fret not, ladies, Gucci hasn’t gone crazy, despite their disappointing Resort collection. This slouchy, boho take on a structured classic is a good start to making up for lost time.
